Job Description: The Performance Manager (PM) provides business insights and recommendations that optimize sell-through and profitability. At the strategic level, the PM is responsible for developing full-year category forecasts, with an emphasis on creating national and account-specific goals for new releases. Through frequent collaboration with Brand Marketing, Sales, and Category Management teams, PM’s conduct due diligence to ensure that every title’s top-down goal is refined and informed by ground-up, retail-centric feedback. PM’s then track sales data and perform key metric analytics that translate into guidance for senior management on performance trends, key drivers, and strategic priorities. At the tactical level, PM’s are tasked with tracking and reporting pre-street estimates and orders as they relate to a title’s overall goal. Post-street, PM’s generate weekly reports that cover metrics such as shipment volume, key account sell-thru, and overall sell-off performance. The successful PM will possess strong analytical experience and a proven ability to transform large volumes of data into action-oriented business intelligence. PM’s must also have strong communication skills and be able to interact with different stakeholder groups. Having an eye for both detail and the bigger picture will be critical, along with the ability to prioritize multiple projects across several customers. Job Functions: • Build and maintain full-year category plans at the title level for multiple studios, incorporating top-down and ground-up methodologies • Develop and manage weekly scorecard updates for new releases and key promotions • Track post-street title performance and conduct analysis on key metrics • Provide guidance on issues including promotion post-mortems, re-price recommendations, and return reserves • Periodically present business reviews covering industry trends, actual-to-plan variances, key drivers, and strategic priorities Job Requirements: • High-bandwidth to manage multiple priorities and projects • Ability to meet deadlines and work in pressure situations • Team-oriented, results-oriented approach • Excellent personal and professional communication skills • Expertise in Microsoft applications • Power-user proficiency with third-party applications (i.e. Partners-On-Line, AC Nielsen, Vision, Microstrategy) • Solid understanding of retail fundamentals across multiple channels • College degree
