Job Description: Universal Music Group is currently seeking an Artist Management Coordinator for our New York City office. The position will provide overall support for VP of artist management company and small staff in NY office and work closely with select artists on roster in a coordinator capacity Duties include but are not limited to: - Answering, screening and directing phone calls/inquiries - Scheduling conference calls and meetings - Regular contact with select roster of artists - Mass mailings to contacts worldwide - calendar management including all artist schedules, press, travel - Planning and arranging domestic and international travel (flight, hotels, cars, itineraries) for staff and select artists - Organizing and managing company and artist expenses Directly responsible for overseeing details on select roster of artists. Personal, Recording (label, studio, budget), Touring (agent, promoters, budget, immigration for all members, securing gear, backline, announcing shows on schedule), and other duties that fall within day-to-day needs for artists in studio and on the road - Update and oversee select artist’s online properties (websites, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Myspace pages as needed) • Administer press schedules for select artists • Connect select band members to phone interviews - Navigate SoundScan and Mediabase to produce reports weekly as well as on a need toknow basis - Must be able to come to work on time without restriction as to time commitment - Ensure complete confidentiality of all sensitive material, directs documents to the appropriate parties, obtains approvals when necessary, and makes certain all deadlines are met Job Requirements: - Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of job responsibilities - Self-started, self motivated and takes responsibility of tasks - Proactive person who thinks outside the box and takes initiative - Enthusiastic about music and interested in artist development - Must have strong time management skills - Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules - Must have strong organizational skills and have meticulous attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience/willingness to learn and understand the logistics of day-to-day artist management
