Job Description: Overview UMGD’s Mobile Operations team is looking for an Operations Coordinator to assume the day-to-day responsibility of delivering Universal Music mobile content created in-house to existing distribution partners. Candidate will be responsible for efficiently utilizing internal systems & tools to manage metadata, the transcoding of assets and delivery of mobile content and metadata on a daily/weekly basis. This position will also work closely with the Mobile production team to ensure the timely delivery of metadata and binaries to internal pre-production systems. Responsibilities • Primary responsibility for this position is to implement existing operational workflows and policies to ensure that mobile product flows to internal and external partners as efficiently as possible • Adhere to all internal delivery schedules and ensure content submissions meet all carrier and distribution partner delivery requirements • Manage and track all content deliveries to distribution partners with specific focus on ensuring that all partners receive and publish mobile releases with minimal delay • Maintain inter-departmental production priorities by working closely with Mobile production team • Manage and troubleshoot all content delivery issues occurring within internal systems • Proactively stay abreast of new delivery requirements and specifications dictated by mobile business partners • Assist in the quality assurance process of all products being delivered to mobile business partners Job Requirements • Must be a quick learner and able to cope with a fast-paced rapidly changing work environment • Must have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Must be able to handle multiple priorities at once and still deliver on time while maintaining a high level of quality • Must be willing to work overtime as workload requires • Excellent problem analysis and critical thinking skills • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills   • BA/BS Degree in Business or equivalent • A strong interest and/or knowledge of music preferred Technical Skills Requirements • A minimum of 1-2 years experience within a new media or software-based company • A strong understanding of audio/video production a plus • Knowledge of wireless/web-based technologies (such as HTML, XML, etc) • Database and CMS experience a plus • Strong computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft Office, relational databases and web-based tools required • Strong interest and knowledge of the wireless industry and entertainment industry preferred
