Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Customer Service Manager for the Universal City, CA location.
The e-Commerce and Mobile Operations Department is charged with delivering all the necessary metadata, audio, and graphics to all digital business partners representing many different types of media (audio/video/mobile). As the digital distribution of music continues to grow, there is a need to have Customer Service Managers who manage the relationship with specific business partners as well as create beneficial relationships with the individual departments within UMG labels and the UMGD Sales Department. These managers also work with the Director of Customer Service to facilitate delivery of digital only assets.
The Customer Service Manager will be assigned specific digital partners for which he/she will be the primary business liaison. This person will field all business partner queries and will work to research and resolve all issues related to the delivery of our assets to those partners. In addition, he/she will assist in the delivery of content for priority e-Releases and other “specialty” content that requires delivery outside of the normal workflow. This person will also be cross-trained to serve as a back-up for the Director of Customer Service and the Director of eCommerce Integration. Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Sr.VP of eCommerce & Mobile Operations with data reconciliation and research projects as needed. This individual will also review metadata and insure it has been updated properly prior to delivery as well as field questions from label personnel and the Sales team regarding digital delivery and set-up procedures.
•Be the day-to-day contact for business partners and UMG labels as determined by the Director of Customer Service
•Reconciling metadata deliveries across all digital partners
•Assisting in the delivery of priority eReleases to digital partners
•Researching and resolving client issues/queries
•Back-up digital partner contact for Associate Director
•Performing quality control activities as instructed by management
•Supporting Label Production / Sales / New Media Departments with eCommerce related questions / concerns.
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Extensive knowledge of RMS preferred
•Organized and able to multi-task
•Strong PC skills – especially MS Excel
•Knowledge of DAVe / Media Portal a plus
•Basic Knowledge of digital marketplace and currently supported Business Partners a plus
•2-4 year of music industry experience preferred
•BA in Communications, New Media, Music, Information Systems or equivalent work experience necessary.
