Job Description: Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Fishers, IN location. BASIC FUNCTIONS Responsible for customer service for all Accounts utilizing all policies and procedures as prescribed by management. Assist customers and/or sales with inquiries and concerns regarding deals, shipping (i.e. expedited shipments, future shipments), new orders, invoicing, and returns. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide phone coverage for customer and/or sales calls • Research and respond to Customer Inquiries received via the Customer Service website: FISHERSCUSTSVC@UMUSIC.COM • Provide proof of deliveries as requested • Issue credit for concealed shortages • Write up Call Sheets for “Customer to Pay Freight” shipments • Charge back the Labels for “Label to Pay Freight” shipments • Research shortage claims • Release and re-direct customer backorders as requested • Expedite shipments as requested • Provide New Release tracking SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS This position must maintain a positive working relationship with the following: • All levels of Operations and Customer Support • Transportation Department • Credit and Claims Departments • Inventory Management/Production Departments EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS It is imperative that individuals in this position maintain a positive and professional working relationship with: • UMVD Sales and Marketing staffs • Label sales and their management staffs • Inventory Management and Production departments • Account teams • Carrier’s customer support representatives • Manufacturing facilities RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESULTS • Accountable for providing the customer as well as the sales representative with accurate order information in a timely and professional manner • Utilize proper verbal and written communication skills MENTAL APPLICATION • Must be able to deal with all types of personalities • Must possess excellent phone skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills • Develop a thorough knowledge of mainframe sales order processing system • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets • Provide outstanding follow-up on all details in a timely manner KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS • High School Education • Excellent communication skills, with a professional and pleasant phone presence • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner • Excellent math skills • Personal Computer knowledge (Word and Excel) • 2-4 years customer service or related experience
